Ingredients
- 1 whole chicken
- 1 lemon, halved
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh sage
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 400°F.
Place the chicken into a roasting pan and stuff it with the lemon halves. Drizzle the olive oil over the chicken and season it with the garlic powder, sage, salt, and pepper.
Roast until the chicken is golden and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F on a meat thermometer, about an hour and a half. To get a crisp, golden skin, broil for the last 5 minutes.
Serve immediately or store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
