Ingredients
- 1 large egg white
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1/2 tsp ground cumin
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp ground cayenne pepper (optional)
- 1 cup raw walnuts
- 1 cup raw cashews
- 1 cup raw almonds
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 300°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Set it aside.
In a large bowl, whisk the egg white until foamy. Add the sugar and spices and whisk until combined. Add the nuts and toss until they are evenly coated. Pour the mixture onto the baking sheet. Bake until the nuts begin to brown, about 15 minutes. Remove them from the oven and toss them to prevent any sticking. Return the nuts to the oven and bake until they are toasted, an additional 5 to 7 minutes.
Serve immediately or store in an airtight container for up to 1 week.
