Ingredients
Apple Filling
- 4 cups diced apples
- 1/3 cup maple syrup
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1/2 lemon, juice
Crumble Topping
- 1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats (gluten-free)
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 cup almond flour
- 1/4 cup melted coconut oil
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 350ºF.
To make the apple filling, in a large bowl, toss the apples with the maple syrup, cornstarch, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, and lemon juice. Transfer the apples into a baking dish.
To make the topping, in another large bowl, combine the oats, pecans, almond flour, coconut oil, and maple syrup. Spread the oat mixture over the apple mixture.
Bake the crumble until the apples have softened and the topping is golden, about 35 to 45 minutes.
Serve immediately or store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
